Services for Eva Wilkes Elkins will be held Monday at 11:00 A.M. in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation is 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
Mrs. Elkins, 85, died Saturday in the Pines Nursing Home.
Born in Marlboro County, August 22, 1925, she was the daughter of the late James Wilkes and Lizzie Davis Wilkes. Her life revolved around being a good homemaker. She was a retired Food Service Technician with the Dillon County Schools and was a member of the Dillon Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James C. Elkins of Dillon; children, Diana (Jack) Barfield of Lake View and James Neil (Polly) Elkins of Dillon.; sisters, Dora Puleo of Supply, N.C., Mary Allen of Dillon, and Ethel Todd of Bennettsville; brother, Carl Wilkes of Bennettsville.
Mrs. Elkins was preceded in death by her sisters, Hattie Proctor and Maggie Daniels and her brother, James Wilkes.
