A Memorial Day recognition was held recently at Kemper Baptist Church.
They were honored to have an Honor Guard of active military soldiers present to present the colors. A couple of these soldiers will be deployed to Afghanastan in a few months. These men were associated with the church family.
Kemper Baptist presented a very moving program in honor of our men and women who are presently serving in the military or have served. Recognized were Lance Cpl. David Brandon Dent, Lance Corporal Curtis Franklin “Tripp” Strickland, III, Staff Sgt. William Thomas “Bo” Bowyer Rouse, Jr., E-4 Spec. Tank Crewman Dustin Everette Rouse, and Capt. David Baxley.
Everyone enjoyed an evening of patrotic music that was presented by the Kemper Baptist choir directed by Jean Smith. Kemper Baptist was very proud to honor our men who serve faithfully to protect our freedoms in America. [slide]
