Mrs. Mary Frances Hyatt Fenters, age 77, widow of Bennett Fenters, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 at Commander Nursing Center.
Born October 31, 1933 in Sumter , SC , she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Martha Mitchum House.
Mrs. Fenters was a graduate of Dillon High School and attended Toumey Nursing School . She worked as a secretary and a teaching assistant. She was a member of First Baptist Church Hemingway and the Senior Adult Group.
Survivors include daughters, Pam Miles (Donald), Mary Anne Marlow (Joe Bill), and BeBe Fenters; sons, Bennett Fenters, Jr., Alan Burton Fenters (LaGay), and Barry R. Fenters (Lisa); grandchildren, Alexe Miles, Bailey Miles (Jeannie), Joe Marlow (Keri), Mindy Howard, Brandon Fenters, Colby Fenters, Reed Fenters, Griffin Fenters, Makayla Fenters, and McKenna Fenters; great grandchildren, Payton Howard, Landon Howard, and Molly Marlow; and sisters, Linda Wages and Debbie Williams.
Mrs. Fenters was predeceased by her first husband, J. W. Hyatt; and two sisters.
Funeral services, conducted by Morris Funeral Home of Hemingway, will be held at First Baptist Church Hemingway on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Dillon, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 from 6:00PM-8:00PM.
