Services for James Robert “Bobby” Hamer will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Born in Dillon, November 2, 1948, he was the son of the late Daniel F. Hamer and Mary Edna Hamer Hamer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was an avid fisherman and gardner.
Survivors include his sister, Katie Hamer King of Dillon; brother, Daniel (Lois) M. Hamer of Dillon; several nieces and nephews; canine companions, Rascal and Raven.
Mr. Hamer was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Katherine Judy and Edna Mae Hamer; and his brother, William H. Hamer.
