The Lake View Wild Gators defeated Green Sea-Floyds 4-0 on Tuesday in their second meeting of the season.

While Green Sea-Floyds didn’t manage a single run, they did manage to keep Lake View off the scoreboard as well until the fourth inning, when Lake View picked up two runs. The Wild Gators added one each in the fifth and sixth for the 4-0 win.

Lake View’s Zach Allen was the winning pitcher, facing 25 batters across seven innings. He allowed only two hits and one walk, striking out 12 Trojans.

Colby Ward was the losing pitcher for Green Sea-Floyds, pitching in six innings and facing 29 batters for seven hits and four runs, striking out one.

Lake View’s batters included David Townsend, 2-for-3 with one run; Steele Spivey, 1-for-3 with two runs; A.J. Hyatt 1-for-2 with two RBIs; Cody Cox, 1-for-2 with one run; Zack Allen, 1-for-3 with one RBI; and Jordan Miller 1-for-4.

Green Sea-Floyds was led by Berry, who went 2-for-3.

Tuesday’s game marked the second time this season that Green Sea-Floyds managed to hold Lake View to only four runs, their lowest score of the season so far. In their previous meeting on March 11, Lake View defeated the Trojans 4-1.

With the win, Lake View maintains their region dominance with an undefeated 8-0 record in Region 8-A. Their overall record rises to 12-1.

The Gators were scheduled to play a makeup game against Mullins on Wednesday and will travel to Johnsonville for a region game on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
