The Dillon District Two School Board discussed reading achievement at Gordon Elementary School, the administrative consolidation of the Dillon and Lake View School Districts and other matters at their meeting on Monday night.
Principal Shawn Johnson and Assistant Principal Famon Whitfield were on hand to discuss plans on how to improve the level of reading achievement at Gordon Elementary School.
County Board Chairman Richard Schafer met with the board to discuss the administrative consolidation of the Dillon and Lake View School Districts. He thanked the Dillon district staff and board for taking on this challenge.
Superintendent Ray Rogers reported to the board that ABC News will be coming to District Two at some point to work on a story. The Greenville News will be coming later also to work on a story; however, the exact nature of the stories is unknown.
