Chelsea Frazier and Miracle Harley have been named to the Region 8-2A All Region Girls Basketball team.

Frazier has the most points of any female high school player in the Pee Dee this season, earning 678 total, with a 28.2 point average per game across 24 games this season. She has picked up an average of 12 rebounds per game. In addition, Frazier marked a career milestone this weekend by earning over 1532 points in her career at Dillon High School. Frazier has also been named to the All State team for the second year in a row.

Stats for Harley were not provided, but Harley has been a valuable defensive player and has regularly contributed to the team’s totals this season.

Other All Region players will include Candace Wright, Tyshanna Lester, and Krystal Washington of Marion; Brittany Rowell, Niesha Godfrey, and Brianna Brantley of Mullins; Antranette Green, Katrina Bellamy, and Shareece Bellamy of Loris; Kaci Williams and Amber Williams of Waccamaw; and Kiyana Rutledge and Keisha Green of Aynor.

Candace Wright of Marion was named Region Player of the Year. Wright had 328 points this season and a 19.3 points per game average and picked up 202 rebounds with an average of 11.9 per game. She also had 57 steals this season, averaging 3.4 per game.

Myron Gerald of Mullins was named Region Coach of the Year.
