The Dillon Christian Lady Warriors wrapped up a disappointing season with a 45-22 loss to Pee Dee Academy on Monday.
The Eagles outscored the Warriors 9-0 in the first quarter and 15-4 in the second to put them ahead by 20 points, going into the half 24-4. The Lady Warriors each managed to score 14 points in the third round, but the Eagles again outscored them in the fourth 7-4, to put them up 23 points for the win.
Pee Dee Academy was led by Lee Pittman with nine points, Jeffre Rogers with seven, and Jessi Black and Taylor Williams with six points each. Heather Gibson, Tori Johnson, and Jennifer Smith each added four points, with Meghan Webster adding three and Anna Shelley making two.
The Warriors were led by Amber Wiggins with seven points and Kylee Sullivan with six. Lauren Lee added four points, Morgan Graham made three, and Amanda Bass earned two.
The Warriors end the season with a 2-15 overall record and a 0-13 SCISA Region 4-2A record. Pee Dee Academy finishes 14-3 and 11-3 in the region, making them the number two seed.
The Lady Warriors will next play in the SCISA Region 4-2A Regional Playoffs tonight at 8:30 p.m. when they play against tournament hosts Byrnes Schools. Byrnes has a 19-8 record and is 13-1 in the region.
