Rockingham, NC – Leslie Eugene Bill Gaddy, 80, died in Rockingham Manor, in Rockingham, NC, Tuesday, February 8, 2011. Visitation will be held 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon. Funeral services will be held privately at a later date.
Mr. Gaddy was born in Robeson County, NC, the son of the late Flonnie Cole and E. B. Gaddy. He was self employed mechanic and also operated a service station. He was a member of the Woodmen of the World and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ann (Russell) Godbolt of Dillon, SC and Lois Phillips of Dillon, SC, and five brothers, Jim (Nancy) Gaddy of Hamlet, NC, Earl Gaddy of Dillon, SC, Charles Gaddy of Florence, SC, Frank Gaddy of Austin, TX, and Vic (Mary Ann) Gaddy of Fork, SC, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Larry Gaddy, two sisters, Shirley Wilkes and Mildred Shelton, and a brother, A. C. Gaddy.
