Lake View Elementary School, Stewart Heights Elementary School, and Latta Elementary School have all won Palmetto Silver Awards for general performance, according to the S.C. Department of Education.
In addition, Lake View Elementary School has won a “Closing The Achievement Gap” award.
The Palmetto Gold and Silver awards program “was created … to recognize schools that attained high levels of absolute performance, high rates of growth and substantial progress in closing achievement gaps between groups of students.” The program was created by the S.C. General Assembly.
