Betty Jean McBryde, 82, of Charles Street, Ocean Isle Beach, NC died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at her home.
Mrs. McBryde was born October 23, 1928 in Raleigh, NC to the late Edward and Frances May Durham Honeycutt. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny P. McBryde; and a brother Eugene Honeycutt. Mrs. McBryde was a member of the Camp United Methodist Church. Surviving are her son Jonathan McBryde, wife Kelly, of Ash, NC; two daughters Wendy Holden, husband Jerry, of Shallotte, NC, Johnna Mendoza of Sunset Beach, NC; two brothers Rufus Honeycutt of Sanford, NC, Edward Honeycutt, Jr. of Sanford, NC; and six sisters Shelby Honeycutt Smith of Lillington, NC, Beatrice H. Heath, of Greenville, NC, Opal Kelly, of Broad, WA, Margaret H. Burgess, of Lillington, NC, Vivian H. Hinson, of Sanford, NC, Kathy Knapp, of Mt. Carmel, IL; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 5:00 PM in the Brunswick Funeral Service Chapel by Edward Honeycutt.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
