Carley Wiggins was named the Dillon County Citizen of the Year for 2010 at the Dillon County Chamber of Commerce’s annual banquet earlier tonight (Thursday). Wiggins was honored due to his significant historical contributions to the county through his freelance writing.
Ernest Barrentine won the Dolph Braddy Award. Ellie Hayes, Mamie Legette, Pat Laird and Art Shealy were honored as the Chamber Volunteers of the Year.
Senator Vincent Sheheen, who ran for governor in 2010, was the guest speaker.
