Mayor Pro-Tem Randolph Gurley was indicted on four charges by a Dillon County grand jury last week.
Gurley was indicted for attempted murder, criminal domestic violence, and two counts of distribution of marijuana.
These charges stem from separate incidents that allegedly occurred earlier this summer.
Gurley has served on the Dillon City Council since April 1995. There was no word at press time on whether the governor plans to suspend him from office until the charges are settled.
