[slide] On Saturday, September 11, at noon, the Dillon County Courthouse grounds was the setting for the prayer gathering for Dillon County for “Cry Out America.”
Bishop Brian Rhodes of Dillon Church of God had the opening remarks followed by a rendition of “God Bless America” performed on the harmonica by Earlia Vanderhall. Rev. Dr. Ricky Rogers of the Open Door Community Church of Dillon had the prayer for a raised awareness of deep spiritual needs of our churches and nation. Bishop Michael Goings of Outreach Family Fellowship located in the Riverdale Community of Dillon had the prayer for forgiveness and outpouring of the Holy Spirit in sweeping revival in our churches. Rev. Anthony Alford of Shiloh United Methodist Church had the prayer for God’s intervention in our nation to reverse our worsening moral decline and convert the lost. Rev. Mike and Mrs. Beth Rouse of the Main Street United Methodist Church of Dillon performed a duet “If My People.”
Bishop Joe Grice of the Dillon Church of God had the prayer for local and national leadership to be men and women of integrity making Godly and Christ-centered decisions. The prayer to unite believers in our community in intense and intentional prayer toward all of the above by Rev. Ron Taylor of the Pee Dee Baptist Association. The closing prayer “The Lord’s Prayer” was by Bishop Carlos Juarez of Iglesia de Dios Nueva Vida was first spoken in English and then in Spanish.
