On Sunday, Aug. 29, during the evening worship service beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Josh Walters and Eric Miller were ordained as deacons. After the call to worship, special singing of solos were performed by Gene Tanner and Barbara Causey.  Hymns were sung by the congregation. Pastor Greg Hyler’s message was from Matthew 15:14-30 charging the deacons and the church. After the invocation, the laying of hands began for the new deacons. At the conclusion, Pastor Greg presented the deacons to the church. Following the ordination service, everyone was invited to a fellowship meal at the church’s Family Life Center.
