This week’s recipe is a new twist on brownies.

Apple Brownies
1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup sliced apples
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup self-rising flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Cream margarine with sugar. Add other ingredients. Mix and spread in a greased 10×10 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
