Hensley Reedy Martin, 53, died Monday, August 9, 2010, at McLeod Medical Center-Dillon. Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Home.
Born in Dillon County, July 29, 1957, he was the son of late John Dewey Martin and Earlene Berry Martin.  He worked with Wholesale Tire in Dillon.
Survivors include his companion, Gloria Jean Sommerford of Dillon; son, Christopher David Sommerford of Dillon; daughter, Sylvia Sommerford of Dillon; grandchildren, Nina & Natalie Vasquez, and Jeffery Sommerford, all of Dillon; brothers, Jimmy (Gerri) Martin, Edward (Lani) Martin, Dewey Jr. Martin, and Clayton Martin all of Dillon; sisters, Nita (Bill) Curavo of Lake View and Linda Martin of Dillon; nearly 40 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Percy, Donald, and Thurston Martin; and a sister, Betty Jean Martin.
