As reported in a previous issue of The Dillon Herald, the City of Dillon is looking into establishing a Maple Swamp Hike-Bike Nature Trail in the area of the Dillon Sports Complex.
At a recent meeting, Revitalization Coordinator Maggie Riales reported that she was still working on the project and was looking to implement a second phase which involves a shared use DOT (Department of Transportation) walking path.
She also said that Earl Dutton was working on the GIS mapping.
Security for the trail will be looked into. Below is an outline of the work on the trail
