This week’s recipe is for an easy crockpot main dish.  Hope you will enjoy.

Crockpot Beef Stew
6 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
6 carrots, peeled and cut in fourths
3 pounds beef stew
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt (or less)
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2-3 large onions, cut in wedges
10-1/2 ounce can beef broth
8 ounce can tomato sauce

Place potatoes in crockpot, then top with carrots.  Add beef, then sprinkle with soy sauce, paprika, salt, pepper, flour and onions.  Mix broth and tomato sauce and pour over top.  Cook for 9-10 hours on low or 4-1/2-5 hours on high.

This is what I left cooking this past Monday while we were on our ‘road trip’ to see Amanda and Jeff and some horse trailers.
It sure was good to have something ready when we got home.  Oh yeah, I left out the carrots in an effort to please my husband…
Happy Trails!
