A lost class ring has made its way back to its owner.
John Rourke lost his ring in the Bojangle’s parking lot. He went back when he realized where he lost it but it was gone.
He told his father he lost it and wanted to see if he could replace it.
He has many rings from baseball tournaments and football state championships but this ring means the most. It signifies all the years of his education thus far.
This ring took the longest to achieve and he designed it himself.
During spring break, Valerie Miller brought it to his house and returned it from its journey across town.
The journey began when Mr. Rondell Carmichael found it and gave it to his brother. His brother gave it to Martha German who in turn gave it to Valerie Miller. Mrs. Miller took it to John’s mother, who had no idea it was lost!
She called him while he was on spring break and said, “Guess where your class ring is?”
He asked, “where?” She said, “in my hand!”
He was so excited and wanted to thank each person but did not have the addresses so he hopes this thank you will reach each person that had a hand in returning it!
Thank you to the honest and special people of Dillon County for returning a special keepsake.
