Sixth-grade English language arts and social studies teacher Amy Roberts has been voted Dillon Middle School’s Teacher of the Year for 2017-2018.
Mrs. Roberts also coaches the DMS Academic Challenge Team and sponsors the National Junior Beta Club chapter and the school’s student council.
Mrs. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Francis Marion University. She has been teaching for 12 years – the past three years at Dillon Middle and the previous nine years at Marion Intermediate School.
Mrs. Roberts will now be a nominee for Dillon School District Four’s Teacher of the Year, the winner of which will be chosen over the summer and announced in September.
