Edgewater, MD—Milton Isaiah “Mac” McKenzie, Sr., a 35-year resident of Edgewater and previously of Arnold, MD, died on Sunday, May 31, 2015 in Annapolis, MD after a 2 year illness. He was 88.
Born January 21, 1927 in Dillon, SC, he graduate from high school in 1945. Following high school, Milton served the US  Army’s 319th replacement company. He owned McKenzie Amusement in Edgewater, MD for over 45 years. Milton ran for Register of Wills in the late 1970’s. He also obtained his pilot’s license, was co-owner of The Coachman a restaurant in Severna Park, and invented a lap counter for a family owned stock car race track in the 1960’s. Milton was a member of American Legion Post 226, Elks Lodge 2528 and Moose Lodge 2279. He enjoyed gardening and computers.
Milton was the beloved husband of over 60 years of Shirley Q. McKenzie; devoted father of Milton I. “Rock” McKenzie, Jr., Pamela M. Williams of Annapolis, MD and Sharon K. Boulter of Arnold, MD; brother of the late Hazel Richardson; grandfather of Chris and Jenny Williams and Sara and Emma Boulter; great-grandfather of McKenzie G. Williams.
A memorial service was held at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Saturday, June 6 at 3pm. Interment private.
