Lady Gators Down Auctioneers, Warriors

Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators defeated Mullins 17-0 in five innings on Wednesday night and down Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors 8-4 on Friday night in varsity softball action in Lake View.

The Lady Gators picked up their first run in the bottom of the first inning and added six each in the second and third for a 13-0 lead. Lake View scored four more in the bottom of the fourth to seal the win.

Ally Spivey earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings for one hit, two walks, and 10 outs.

At bat for the Gators, Ashley Rogers went 4-for-4 with four RBI; Marissa Tyndall went 2-for-2 with two RBI; and Ally Spivey went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Lake View had 11 hits and one error in the win, while Mullins had one hit and one error.

On Friday, the Lady Gators earned an 8-4 win over Dillon Christian to wrap up their regular season.

Marissa Tyndall got the win on the mound, pitching a complete game for five hits, four runs, two earned runs, three walks, and 10 outs.

Ally Spivey went 3-for-4 with one RBI; Ashley Rogers went 3-for-4 with one RBI; and Marissa Tyndall went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

The Lady Gators finished the regular season with an 18-6 record and finished region play in second place with a 6-2 record.

Lake View will host Scott’s Branch in the first round of the Class A Division V playoffs on Thursday.
