Lady Wildcats Earn 10-0 Win Over Lions

Dillon’s Lady Wildcats earned a 10-0 win over Loris on Tuesday night in varsity softball action.

The Wildcats picked up five runs in the top of the second to take the lead and picked up one runner in the third and four in the sixth to seal the win.

Tiffany Dwyer pitched a complete game for four hits and one walk, striking out four. Tyieshah Jones was behind the plate for the Wildcats.

Johnna Rogers went 2-for-4 with a home run and a three RBI to lead the Wildcats at bat. Erin Bailey went 2-for-3 with two RBI; Auh’Kieria Smiling went 2-for-4; Brittany Miller was 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored; and Ashley Phillips went 2-for-4. Dillon had four errors in the win.

Hannah Josephs took the loss on the mound for Loris and Faircloth led the Lady Lions at bat. Loris had five errors in the effort.

The Lady Wildcats improved to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in Region 8-2A.

Dillon is scheduled to travel to Waccamaw this Friday and will be back at home to host Mullins on Tuesday night. Game time is 6:30 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local team!
