Lady Wild Gators Shut Out Warriors in Double Header

Lake View’s Lady Gators defeated Creek Bridge 10-0 and 11-0 in a double header on the road on Wednesday in varsity softball action.

In game one, the Lady Gators picked up six runs in the top of the first, three in the second, and capped the win with one in the third.

Marissa Tyndall earned the win on the mound, pitching all three innings for one walk and nine outs. Creek Bridge’s Sumpter pitched three innings for 12 hits, 10 runs, eight earned runs, and three walks.

Lake View was led at bat by Jasmine Ford, 2-for-2, and Madison Cox, 1-for-2.

In game two, Lake View scored seven runs in the first inning and four in the second an 11-0 shut out in two innings.

Ally Spivey pitched both innings for the Gators, allowing just two walks with six outs. For the Warriors, McKlevey pitched two innings for five hits, 11 runs, eight earned runs, and three walks.

At bat for the Gators, Madison Green went 1-for-1 with one RBI; and Ashley Rogers and Kayla Page each went 1-for-1.

Lake View improved to 4-1 and opened conference play with a 2-0 record in Region 8-A.

The Lady Gators will travel to Green Sea-Floyds tonight at 5:30 p.m.
